NOTE TO HIGH SCHOOLERS: We are aware of the issue of Berkeley CoE's email being sent to all engineering applicants. Our event is intended for Bay Area applicants interested in knowing more about the school. Since the event is scheduled for after the admission decision deadline, earlier wording did say it was an event designed for admitted students. We apologize for that ambiguity, as the decisions are not out yet. We do not have any knowledge of those decisions yet, either.

For further context about ourselves: we are an on-campus honor society of about 20 student volunteers, putting on a variety of student and outreach events. We have held similar high school open houses in past semesters, but we sent out invitations for them differently in those cases. This year we improved our system, but there was a major oversight in mailing.

This is a new twist on TBP's traditional "High School Shadowing" event!

We are inviting a set of 50-60 high school seniors interested in Berkeley Engineering. They will join us on campus for an evening of community, contacts and celebration.

There are a variety of volunteer tasks needed for this event. Candidates seeking their community service credit are required to spend two hours minimum at the event. (These two hours can be split up around classes or meetings if needed.)

We also want officers and general members present. Let's leave a strong and positive impression on the next generation of Berkeley Engineers!
